Calaway Park is Western Canada’s Largest Outdoor Family Amusement Park.
The park opened its doors in 1982 and has grown from a small amusement park to one of Calgary and Western Canada’s best attractions.
The park spans 160 acres (operating on 100 acres) and has a collection of 32 rides! Featuring numerous attractions, rides for the thrill- seekers and top-notch live entertainment. Calaway is fun for the whole family!

We offer front-line positions in our Games, Food Service, Retail, Rides, Warehouse, Campground, Guest Services and Security Departments. We also hire leadership team members for the above departments.

We provide award winning training programs and on-going coaching for team members. We continue to grow team member’s skills by providing regular feedback through our formal evaluation process and daily meetings. Calaway Park partners with many different companies and community leaders in the Calgary area. We support on-going education of our team members through our own scholarship program. We provide scholarships to the high school within our community as well as provide educational learning in science for junior high and high school students. Admissions – Responsibilities include guest service, cash handling and ticket printing. Must be at least 16 years of age. Wage starts at $13.60/hr.
Campground Representative – Responsible for providing excellent guest service to campground residents, taking campground reservations over the phone, maintaining the campground store and acting as a representative for both Calaway Park and Calgary Attractions. You must be at least 18 years of age and have your own transportation to and from the park. Wage starts at $15.75/hr.
Cash Control and Revenue Audit – Responsibilities include daily location audits, float building, float reconciliations and other administrative duties. Must be at least 16 years of age. Wage starts at $15.75/hr.
Department Captain – Responsible for day to day operation of assigned locations on park, assisting wherever necessary and involved with ongoing coaching and training of employees. Must be at least 16 years of age. Wage starts at $15.00/hr., depending on position.
Department Lead – Responsible for the supervision of 10 – 150 employees, working to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the department through effective employee training, scheduling, recognition, payroll, department marketing, and team-building. Ideal for post-secondary students. You must be at least 18 years of age and have your own transportation to and from the park. Wage starts at $17.25/hr.
Entertainer – Host our 3D Theatre experience, roam the pathways as part of our Street Character Cast, or perform in our live stage shows. Auditions for our live stage shows are held each January. Click here for more information on all these positions. Wage starts at $14.00 to $15.75/hr. depending on position.
Food and Beverage – Your responsibilities will include guest service, preparing various food products and handling cash. Must be at least 16 years of age. Wage starts at $13.60/hr.
Game Operation – Your responsibilities will include guest service, displaying prizes in an attractive and appealing way and handling cash. Must be at least 16 years of age. Wage starts at $13.60/hr.
General Maintenance Worker – Responsible for assisting maintenance personnel with daily ride and equipment safety inspections, and preventative maintenance. You must be at least 18 years of age and have your own transportation to and from the park. Wage starts at $15.75/hr.
Grounds Maintenance – Responsibilities include maintaining park grounds including watering, weeding, raking, planting and keeping the park clean and tidy. Must be at least 16 years of age. Some positions require employees to be 18+ years of age and have their own transportation to and from the park. Wage starts at $15.75 – $17.00/hr., depending on position.
Guest Services Representative – Responsible for providing excellent guest service to guests on park, resolving guest concerns, answering telephones, handling cash, and completing various other office duties. You must be at least 18 years of age and have your own transportation to and from the park. Wage starts at $15.75/hr.
Retail – Responsibilities include guest service, cash handling and merchandising. Must be at least 16 years of age. Wage starts at $13.60/hr.
Ride Operation – You will be responsible for the safe operation of your ride and for delivering excellent guest service. Must be at least 16 years of age. Some positions require employees to be at least 17 years of age. Wage starts at $14.00/hr.
Sales & Catering Representative – Responsible for corporate and tourism consignment accounts, preparing letters, tickets, invoices and files, as well as assisting with tourism marketing programs. You must be at least 18 years of age and have your own transportation to and from the park. Wage starts at $17.25/hr.
Security – Responsible for ensuring safety by maintaining a presence on park for guests, resolving park incidents and providing excellent guest service. You must be at least 18 years of age and have your own transportation to and from the park. Wage starts at $15.75/hr.
Warehousing – Responsible for receiving shipments and delivering supplies to park locations efficiently, and for ensuring the organization and efficiency of the warehouse. Must be at least 16 years of age and have a driver’s license. Wage starts at $15.75/hr.

Describe your hiring and interview process?
Select candidates will be contacted for an interview. Interviews take place at Calaway Park and applicants must have their own transportation to the park for the interview. Professional dress is recommended.
Bring your social insurance card to the interview, as successful candidates will be required to provide a valid social insurance number.

What type of education/training/equipment do you require?
None! This is a great job for high school students starting out their work experience. We understand that for many potential team members wanting to work at Calaway Park that they don’t have a lot of work experience. We offer extensive training for all team members and give practical knowledge to students.
What is the minimum age required to work for your company?
Most positions require that you are 16 years or older. Some positions within the company require that you are 18 years or older.

What are the hours of the business and general shift times? Are there a minimum number of hours someone needs to work per week? Is there flexibility regarding school schedules?
Hours of operation for the park are 10 am to 7 pm. We are flexible with schedules. Employees begin working weekends in May and June, fulltime in July and August, and weekends in September and October (through Thanksgiving). Limited part-time positions are also available. Each shift is generally 7-8 hours in length. All team members will be given 1-2 breaks depending on the shift.
Is a uniform provided or do employees have to pay for it?
Uniforms are required and each team member is responsible for purchasing their own.
