1700+ locations across Canada, 7 locations in Calgary – all locations are hiring all the time. New facility scheduled to open in early 2019 in Seton area, will be hiring all positions for this location over the next 6 months

h) Describe your hiring and interview process?
Everyone requires a police information check to work with YMCA Calgary, there may also be requirements of standard first aid and CPR-C certifications (this will be listed in the job posting). It is incredibly important candidates get these things started ASAP in order to not slow down the hiring process. Positing’s are posted for approximately 2 weeks, in the following few weeks is when interviews take place. From there hiring managers will be feedback to both successful and unsuccessful candidates regarding the role. References are checked for the successful candidate, and all certifications are collected. Once all conditions are met, a full offer is sent out, the employee begins training and orientation and finally work.

14 years to volunteer, 16 years to work, 18 years to work at Camp Chief Hector

$13.60/hour - $16.50/hour

Business operates 5am-10pm Mon to Fri and 7am – 8pm Sat, Sun and holidays. Shifts vary depending on the department. Most full time roles are Mon to Fri 9-5, but there is a lot of flexibility depending on the need.

Tshirt/long sleeve shirt/jacket is provided, pants must be purchased by employees
