Pumpkins After Dark

Pumpkins After Dark is Canada’s award-winning outdoor Halloween event. Featuring over 6,000+ hand-carved pumpkins, this one-of-a-kind walk-through experience is the must-see event of the fall season.

  • Pumpkins After Dark runs in Calgary, Edmonton, Burnaby, Ottawa, and Milton.
  • ScreamFest runs in Calgary only.
  • We hire seasonal staff across Canada, there are plenty of opportunities in each show.

50+ employed locally, a few hundred across Canada.

Describe your hiring and interview process? 

Successful applicants will be contacted to schedule an interview at their earliest convenience. After the interview, successful candidates will be contacted with a job offer and provided with all employment information.

What do you look for in an employee?

Positive attitude, reliable, teachable, and a team player.

What type of education/training/equipment do you require?

Entry level. We will provide onsite training and equipment for all candidates.

What is the minimum age required to work for your company? Are there different age requirements for different positions?

15+ years old minimum.

$16/hrs

What are the hours of the business and general shift times? Are there a minimum number of hours someone needs to work per week? Is there flexibility regarding school schedules?

We are open Thurs-Sun evenings from approx 7pm-11pm (open based on sunset). There are plenty of shifts available to choose from, staff can work every day or one day a week, or anything in between. If a candidate has limited availability, we just need to know ahead of time.

Is a uniform provided or do employees have to pay for it?

We provide a toque for all staff members. This event is outdoors, we are open rain or shine. Staff will need to dress accordingly. Staff may dress in the Halloween theme if they choose, outfits must be pumpkins or Halloween related. Consider wearing orange, or a jack-o-lantern outfit, not a princess dress or morph suit. Otherwise, warm pants and a jacket are recommended. At Screamfest your costume is your responsibility, but we have plenty of long-term staff to help new staff put a costume together.
