Kal Tire was founded in 1953 by Tom Foord in Vernon, BC. What started as a single service station ahs become one of Canada’s largest independent tire dealers.

Kal Tire serves drivers and fleets with trusted brands and reliable services in over 280 Kal Tire stores across Canada, 19 of these locations are in Calgary, some have opportunities for Tire Technicians and entry level positions available currently.

Kal Tire employees more the 6500 team members across Canada and internationally, 320+ team members are in the Calgary area.

In Calgary, Kal Tire continues to support local communities through initiatives such as grants from Kal’s RePlay Fund, including funding provided to TELUS Spark at the Science Centre for the Brainasium. This commitment extends to our Tires for Good program as well, where Calgary store teams have helped grassroots organizations stay rolling - like the Willow Ridge Community Association, which received new tires for their ice resurfacer.

Will vary by position; for entry level roles, a driver’s licence and an enthusiasm for the automotive industry is preferred.
What is the minimum age required to work for your company? Are there different age requirements for different positions?
For entry level positions a minimum of 15 years of age, however a driver's licence may be required increasing this eligibility accordingly.

What are the hours of the business and general shift times? Are there a minimum number of hours someone needs to work per week? Is there flexibility regarding school schedules?
May vary by location but hours are within Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. -6:00 p.m. Saturday- Sunday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Is a uniform provided or do employees have to pay for it?
We are pleased to provide Kal Tire branded shirts and pants as part of the team member uniform.
