Helcim was founded in 2006 and has been in business for 13 years.
b) How many locations do you have in Calgary and nationally/internationally? What locations are hiring locally in Calgary and area?
Helcim is headquartered in Calgary, AB and we have a satellite office in Seattle, WA. We are currently hiring for our Calgary head office.

c) How many people does your organization employ? How many locally?
Our current team is made up of 53 people who are predominantly based in Calgary.

d) What type of positions do you offer?  (ex. Full time, part time, seasonal, contract etc.)
All our current positions are full-time permanent positions.

i) Describe your hiring and interview process.
Potential candidates who are a good fit for the position will be asked to complete a brief phone interview before being invited to an in-person meeting where they will meet with members of the recruitment team and the business area they would be working in. Some positions require completing a project related to their role to advance in the interview process. For example, candidates applying to be a Jr. Developer will be asked to complete a coding challenge.

The Helcim Team is made up of awesome people who are friendly and collaborative, they are all committed to their work and passionate about what we do every day. As a growing company in the tech space we need people who are not afraid of change, embrace challenges, and get excited about sharing their ideas with their coworkers. We look for these qualities in each new employee that we add to the team.

k) What type of education/training/equipment do you require?
The education and training required for each role will vary and we make sure to clearly outline any required programs or training that are needed for someone to succeed in the position. Most positions require post-secondary training in a related field and related experience or experience in the payments industry is always a bonus.

l) What is the minimum age required to work for your company? Are there different age requirements for different positions?
You need to be 18 to work at Helcim for all positions.

m) Provide a wage range for entry level positions.
We offer competitive salaries for all of our positions; the range will vary depending on the position.
n) What are the hours of the business and general shift times? Are there a minimum number of hours someone needs to work per week? Is there flexibility regarding school schedules?
The customer service team works varying shifts between 7 AM and 7 PM Monday to Friday and between 9 AM to 5 PM on Saturday and Sunday. All other departments work 9 AM to 5 PM Monday-Friday.

o) Is a uniform provided or do employees have to pay for it?
Helcim has a casual dress code, jeans and a company t-shirt is the most common outfit seen around the office. We want team members to be comfortable so they can do their best work.
