Our parent company, New World North LLC, was founded in 2010 by members of the team behind the award-winning Half-Life 2 modification ‘Insurgency: Modern Infantry Combat’, led by Jeremy Blum (originator of the Red Orchestra Mod). NWI opened a second studio in Calgary, Canada, New World North, Ltd. November 13, 2018 to provide ongoing, post-release support for Insurgency: Sandstorm as well as provide crucial development support for an unannounced future title.

h) Describe your hiring and interview process?
If your submitted docs meet the criteria of a position there is an assessment that is followed with a phone interview. The second step would be a video interview.
i) What do you look for in an employee?
We are looking for someone who enjoys a collaborative and creative work environment with a passion for video games. Having the ability to communicate clearly and concisely and have a passion for gaming.
j) What type of education/training/equipment do you require?
Most of our positions require a minimum of 3 years’ experience in-studio developing video games or other interactive media. Experience with Unreal Engine for technical roles is required. Preference for developers that have worked on FPS projects and especially those that have been involved in a shipped title.
k) What is the minimum age required to work for your company? Are there different age requirements for different positions?
There isn’t a minimum age requirement for our Company that differs from Alberta laws.
l) Provide a wage range for entry level positions.
Dependent on experience and demonstrated skills for the various positions that are available.
m) What are the hours of the business and general shift times? Are there a minimum number of hours someone needs to work per week? Is there flexibility regarding school schedules?
Standard studio hours will be from 10 am to 6 pm. There are not shifts. We expect 40-hour work weeks for full time personnel. We are open to part-time opportunities with less hours.
n) Is a uniform provided or do employees have to pay for it?
Our required dress attire is causal.
